A youth group has teamed up with The Salvation Army to provide fun in the form of a block party.

Members of the Eternity Youth Group of Duncan Falls United Methodist Church have organized the event to bring together the community.

"Block party is a thing we’re doing here at The Salvation Army. We’re going to have free food, games, there’s going to be popcorn and cotton candy and we’re going to be playing live later in the evening and in the afternoon," says Eternity Youth Group Member Duane Wade.

Some of the youth group members are a part of the band that will be playing at the block party. They are excited to be giving something back to the community.

"Not everyone has everything, so it feels good to take what i have and help someone else," says Katii Bollinger, Eternity Youth Group member.

The block party will be held on June 24, from 12 to 6pm. Activities will take place in The Salvation Army gym and parking lot.
