The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol is releasing new details, involving an Interstate 70 crash that took the lives of 3 adults and 2 children back in June.

Post commander, Lieutenant Steven Rine says drugs may be a contributing factor.

"We found drugs in the car, and the toxicology report from the driver revealed that there were some levels of drugs in her system. We’re pending identity of the drugs and the amount, " says Lt. Rine.

Lt. Rine says his office is awaiting complete toxicology reports from the coroner.

23-year-old Tiffany Irwin of Zanesville was driving eastbound when her car went across the median and struck a van driving in one of the westbound lanes. Irwin’s 7-month old daughter, 3-year-old son, uncle, and mother were all killed in the crash.
