Runners and walkers hit the pavement early this morning to support a local charity.

The third-annual Kellogg’s K-Road Race and one mile Fun Run was held today in support of Christ’s Table.

"This money at this time will be really very appreciative and it’s been a blessing for Christ’s Table to have them, a corporation like this support an organization feeding those that are less fortunate," says Executive Director of Christ’s Table, Gretchen Sayre.

More than 300 people participated, and even though it was hot, it didn’t keep people away from supporting members of the community.

"I think everybody enjoys it. Even though you’re running, it’s a little warm, everybody feels good though because you’re giving back. They’ve made a donation, they’re enjoying, they’re getting exercise and it’s good, it’s really good for everybody," says Matthew Workman, a participant in the event.

Kellogg’s organized the event which also included a car show.
