Authorities say slick roads led to an injury accident Tuesday in Washington Township.

It happened around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Boggs Road and Lovers Lane. According to Trooper Stephen Williams with the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol, a red Ford Contour went left-of-center and hit the driver’s side of a blue GMC Jimmy.

Williams says road conditions and speed were a factor in the crash.

"On roads like this, slow steady rain, the roadways are soaked, we just remind people to slow down, drive for the conditions and drive within your means," says Trooper Stephen Williams, Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol.

Trooper Williams says the driver of the Ford was transported to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital with minor injuries. He says she will be cited for failure to control.
