The pieces are falling into place for one local organization.

Eastside Community Ministry’s Jigsaw Puzzle Contest took place Saturday afternoon at the John McIntire Library. Multiple teams competed to finish a 500 piece puzzle in four hours.

"We’ve sold puzzles for eastside for the last six years that was a fundraiser and this year we decided to have a contest with those puzzles," said Betsy Thomas, Eastside Board Member.

She says this event is about more than just finishing the puzzle.

"It brings people together and you meet new people and it hopefully makes them a little more aware about what eastside does," she said.

One finished, the puzzle was a view of downtown Zanesville, which was created by a local artist. All proceeds from the event will go to Eastside’s summer programs.
