The East Muskingum School District is welcoming someone new to its administrative staff.

Jill Johnson was named superintendent at a special board meeting tonight. She has served as interim superintendent since June 1st.

Johnson, from Norwich, is familiar to the area having graduated from John Glenn High School and obtaining an education degree from Ohio University. She also has 10 years of teaching experience and 10 years of administrative experience.

A special reception will be held in her honor on August 12th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at East Muskingum Middle School.

Johnson will be replacing Jim Heagan, who left the district after five years of service.
