Quilting is an art form that often goes unrecognized. The Pieacable Quilters Guild hosted a two day Quilt Show and Expo at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds.

On display were an assortment of quilts; vendors also showcased the latest in quilt patterns, fabrics, and techniques.

Chairperson for the Quilt Show, Sherry Gillepsie said, "it is a display of our time and our talent, in textiles, we are hoping to not only show off our work, but also inspire other people to perhaps take grandma’s unfinished quilt out or their unfinished quilt out and finish it, or maybe take a class."

Gillepsie believes these quilts are about more than just the stitching.

"These blankets wrap people in warmth and love, and many of our old quilts don’t survive and those that do are very cherished, and I’m standing in front of some of those very cherished quilts that tell a really great story. "

A fundraiser was also held to raise money for workshop artists, community projects, and a textile scholarship presented each year.
