Some kids are spending the week celebrating the arts, and they want to share that with the community.
Big Brothers Big Sisters held their first-ever Rising Stars Song and Dance Camp this week to support their mentoring program.
"We just wanted to have something in town that was affordable for everyone in the community to come and work on the arts which is something I love, so I love to be able to incorporate it with children in the community," says Sarah Browning, Development Coordinator.
The camp was only $10 for kids and more than 30 children attended.
"They’ve been working on singing, dancing, performing, and as you can hear in the background they’re doing very well," says Browning.
The children will showcase their skills in a community performance this Friday, July 23. It will be held at the John McIntire Library at 7p.m. To attend, it is $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for kids.
