C-section births are at a record high.

The National Center for Health Statistics says more than 31-percent of births in the U.S. were C-sections in 2007, which is the most recent year for data.

Preliminary numbers in for 2008 shows the numbers may have grown even higher.

According to experts, more C-sections are being done before a woman is even in labor and very few women have a vaginal birth after a previous C-section.
