An old city garage, right behind the Coshocton Post Office, receives major roof damage after a fire.

Crews were dispatched to 235 North 5th Street around 1:30 Monday afternoon.

Captain Willie Arnold says the fire appears to have started in the ceiling. Firefighter were on the scene for more than four hours attempting to put out hot spots and needed a crane to remove parts of the roof to get to them.

Fire investigators say the fire was unintentional and it appears workers nearby accidently ignited a pile of plywood.

Arnold says the building was used for storage.
