Early Voting For General Elections

The Muskingum County Board of Elections is preparing for early voting for this year’s elections.

To vote absentee, you must already be a registered voter in the state of Ohio.

"You must be registered to vote thirty days before the election and the close of registration is October the fourth by 9 p.m.," said Director of Muskingum County Board of Elections Chris Hamill.

Any registered voter is allowed to vote using an absentee ballot. Hamill says there are a few ways to sign up for absentee voting.

"You can come to our office, fill out a form here, and we will mail you the ballot. Or you can call our office and we will mail the applications to you," she said.

You can request an absentee ballot by October 30th at noon. General Election’s will be held on November 2nd.
