The hustle and bustle around the Muskingum County Fairgrounds is now reduced to an empty lot. The 164th blue ribbon fair wrapped up last night.
The Fair Board says pretty soon, you won’t even recognize that the week-long event was even there.
"It takes about two days to get it cleaned up, and then of course we have a lot of trailers moving and getting the things out of the buildings, it keeps us busy," says Bill Again, V.P. of the Fair Board.
Even though the excitment is over with, the Fair Board isn’t taking any breaks. There’s only 51 weeks until the start of next year’s fair.
"Well really basically as soon as this is over, we get our notes together, what we see, think should be done and then we’ll plan next year’s fair," said Agin.
Despite a huge turn out for the Lady Antebellum concert in the Grandstand Friday, Agin says fair attendance slightly dropped this year, which Saturday nights rain contributed to.
