With many traveling to the Muskingum County Fair this week, making parking spots available can be quite the challenge.
Plenty of planning and preparation has gone into organizing parking for the public.
"We have to go through and count how many spaces we have find where, how many cars we could put in a certain place and like I said we have to get them in as close as possible to get as many cars in as possible," says Tabitha, Parking Attendant.
Campers and trailers are also factored in when determining parking availability. Cars will get towed if they are parked in the wrong area.
"We don’t want people getting blocked in and have difficulty getting out if somebody parks where they’re not suppose to, then they have to play the hide and seek game, because if they don’t move it when we ask, we have to call the sheriffs office," said Tabitha.
Tha parking attendants ask for the public to be patient when waiting to park, especially for Pepsi Day on Friday and when Lady Antebellum performs later that night.
Those attending the fair can get in free on Friday by bringing a can of Pepsi to the grounds between 7 a.m. – 1 p.m.
