One person is dead after a roll-over accident in Muskingum County.
Around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, a 911 call was dispatched to the State Highway Patrol regarding an accident on Millers Lane off Chandlersville Road.
"We had a Mercury Mountaineer that was heading southbound on Millers Lane drove off the left side of the road way on to the embankment, when they hit the embankment they went airborne came back onto the roadway and flipped over several times and came to rest on it’s top," said Sargeant Chuck Merryman of the State Highway Patrol.
The victim is 34-year-old Donna Geren of Zanesville. The Muskingum County Coroner pronounced her dead at the scene. State Troopers were on site along with the Wayne Township Fire Department and Community Ambulance.
"Well any available units that we have, if we find out the seriousness of the crash of course we’re going to respond as quickly as we can, for this particular crash we had about four State Patrol units that were fairly close and got here right after the fire and ambulance personnel did," said Sgt. Merryman.
Sgt. Merryman says that the victim was wearing her seatbelt. The accident remains under investigation.
