Former Zanesviille State Trooper Investigated

by George Hiotis on August 6, 2010

A Staff Lieutenant with the Ohio State Highway Patrol from Zanesville is currently under investigation by two law enforcement agencies. Roger Norris, who currently lives in Belmont County, is being investigated by the Highway Patrol and the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office. State Patrol Lieutenant Gary Lewis says Norris is being investigated for allegations surrounding “conduct unbecoming an officer”. Belmont County Sheriff Fred Thompson could not be reached for comment on the case. But WTOV T-V in Steubenville is quoting Thompson as saying that Norris was seen with an underage female and that he was allegedly in an unmarked state vehicle and was on the job. Norris, who remains on the job, is a Zanesville native and worked at the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol as a trooper.
