A Heath woman is taken by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center, following an accident in Newark.
It happened around 9 a.m. on West Main Street.
The Newark Police Department says 73-year-old Roger Ouellettee of Heath was traveling west in a Toyota Camry and attempting to cross State Route 13 when he went through a red traffic light. Officers say it caused the car to strike 26-year-old Allen Smith of Newark, who was traveling south on State Route 13 in a pick-up truck. Neither driver was taken to the hospital, but the passenger in the Camry, 78-year-old Kay Ouellettee was transported to the hospital. The extent of her injuries are not known at this time.
Officers say Roger was cited in the incident for failure to obey a traffic control device.
