Area restaurants are lending a helping hand to put the finishing touches on a memorial that honors Muskingum County veterans.

The World War II and Korean War Memorial in downtown Zanesville is nearing completion. Area Bob Evans restaurants want to help with the needed funds and have been holding community ‘fun nights.’ 15% of participants’ checks go toward funding the community project.

"Just to help out the community. It’s really for anybody that wants to do this. It’s no money out of their pocket," says Brodie Keenan, Assistant Manager at Bob Evans.

A total of $175,000 is needed to complete the entire display.
