Monday Road Work

Three counties will be experiencing road restrictions as drivers head to work Monday.

Crews will start work Monday to upgrade two bridges on US 22 in Guernsey County. The first is located east of New Concord, just past the Muskingum County line. The other bridge is at Peter’s Creek Road. ODOT Public Information Officer, Kate Stickle, says one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction at all times, but drivers do need to be aware of barrels, surrounding the work zone at all times. The $1.2 million project is expected to be completed at the end of October.

Drivers won’t be able to use a portion of State Route 206 in Coshocton County. It will close Monday just south of Newcastle. Crews will be working to replace a culvert between the hours at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The State Route 16/79 Improvement Project in Licking County will have some ramp closures throughout the week. Crews started on the resurfacing phase Sunday evening. The ramps will remain closed between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. through Friday. Detours are posted.
