An 80-year-old pilot receives minor injuries after his plane crashes in Licking County.

It happened near a Donn Road home in Newark around 10:15 Sunday morning.

The Granville Post of the State Highway Patrol says Kenny Rauch was attempting to land a single engine plane on a grass landing strip near the home when the tail hit the ground, causing it to strike the plane’s nose and rollover. Troopers say the homemade aircraft landed on its top. While rauch did receive some minor injuries, he was not transported to the hospital.

The incident remains under investigation.
