A special visitor came to town to help dedicate a new addition at the Moose Lodge.

The family fraternity added a $300,000 addition onto their current building. The Supreme Governor of the Order of the Moose flew in from North Carolina to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony. He says that he wants members to know that their work does not go unnoticed.

"Just realize that they are important and that we want them to know that, and my being here showing the appreciation that our fraternity has for every one of our lodges and our chapters," says Supreme Governor, George W. McCullough III.

This is the first time a Supreme Governor has been to the Zanesville chapter. Members are excited about his trip and the new addition.

"Adds something to our community. Any time that you have anything new coming in and buildings going up, it’s always an assett," says past Ohio Deputy Grand Region, Carolyn Arbuckle.

Following the ribbon-cutting, the Moose Lodge donated dozens of their coined ‘Tommy Moose’  to Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz. Officers give the stuffed animals to children during times of trauma.
