The St. Nicholas Festival is right around the corner and volunteers are adding the finishing touches.
The festival kicks off Wednesday night at 6p.m. Volunteers have been working hard to get everything ready for opening night.
"Without the volunteer help that we have here at St. Nicholas, the festival would not be able to be what it is, we have so many hours of volunteers that need to take place," says festival co-chair, Bill Kohler.
Games, food, rides and a Chinese auction are just a few things that the festival has to offer including live bands each night.
"Come out and check out our entertainment. We have some local and some bands from outside around Columbus. We have ‘Obliged’ is going to be here which is a local high school band. We have ‘Slapjack’ to play on Thursday. ‘HB7,’ a local band will play on Friday and ‘Collision Course’ will play on Saturday. All of them start at eight o’clock"
The festival runs from 6 to 11p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and stays open an hour longer on Friday and Saturday.
