A Columbus man pleads not guilty to nine counts, surrounding the death of 19-year-old Tyler Hardin of Zanesville.
24-year-old Terrell Nowlin appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court for his arraignment this morning. He faces one count of conspiracy to aggravated murder, one count of conspiracy to committ kidnapping, one count of kidnapping, four counts of tampering with evidence, one count of gross abuse of corpse, and one count of aggravated murder with a gun specification. The aggravated murder charge does carry the possibility of the death penalty or life in prison. His bond was continued at $1 million.
Nowlin’s wife, Heather, also faces separate charges relating to this case. She pled not guilty last week.
The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office found Hardin’s body last month in a shallow grave on property in Newton Township.
