Muskingum University is welcoming the class of 2014.
More than 500 students packed into the Recreation Center Tuesday morning for the annual Convocation ceremony.
University President, Anne Steele says this group of students are multi-talented, and she knows the campus has so much to offer them.
"They are developed intellectually, socially, spiritually, physically as part of our mission and that they assume their rightful place in our enduring legacy of leadership," says Steele.
It was Caleb Westlake’s first day of classes. He’s originally from the Steubenville area and came to Muskingum University to study business. He says he knew this college was the perfect fit for him.
"When I came up here, it was a really nice campus. I really enjoyed it, and I liked the people, " says Westlake.
In four years, Westlake hopes to have his degree and open a chain of small sporting goods stores.
