The Y-Bridge Arts Festival is kicking off tonight and the public is invited to attend.

More than seventy artists will be showcasing their work Friday night at this family friendly event, which will be taking place on the Y-Bridge downtown.

"Tonight they’ll be able to hear a variety of music, try a variety of foods, they will experience so much art, we have so many talented people all over this year, and they’ll be converging here on the bridge," said Christie Swope, Volunteer.

Whole some artists hope to make some money, others appreciate just having a chance to share their work with the publc.

"Well to start with my wife is the organizer and I just I enjoy being among the other artist and all the people coming down through and talking to them," said Jim Warren, Local Artist.

Organizers of the event say they hope the festival will continue to grow in the future. If you are unable to come out on Friday night, the event will pick up on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
