If you are looking for a new job one way to be successful could include a makeover.

The Muskingum County Opportunity Center and Mid East Career and Technology Center Cosmetology class have partnered  to help people look the part when applying for a job.

"Anyone who is searching for a job and would like the get a hair cut and style that there’s no cost to this and it kinda just puts you in the mood and make you feel good about yourself as you prepare to get into an interview," Muskingum County Opportunity Center Supervisor Bob Mercer said.

13 local professionals will be giving you a new look and the students will be giving manicures and pedicures. Then after you look the part the Opportunity Center is holding a "Evening With Hiring Professionals" Wednesday September 29th.

"They are going to have human resource professionals talking to individuals about interviewing, what they look for as an employer when someone comes in and does an interview and it also is going to give that person a chance to come face to face with an HR person and say to them you know what are you looking for when you are asking me this question," Job Developer Julie Metzger said.

Metzger said anyone looking for a job or a better job will be able to talk with local h-r people and ask specific questions about interviewing, resumes, and cover letters.
This event is Wednesday at the Opportunity Center from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm. It’s free to any job seeker.
