Flu season is back and so are the annual shots.

Rambo Memorial Health Center’s Fourth Annual Kid’s Flu Day took place Saturday afternoon, a variety of activities were offered for the children after they received the flu shot or the increasingly popular FluMist.

"A lot of kids love it, and every year that they come, they’re not afraid, really they are just here to party, but some of the kids really they will surprise you and say no I want a shot instead," said Executive Director Crystal Bebout of the Rambo Memorial Health Center.

Bebout says you’d be surprised at how difficult it is to have adults come in for the vaccination.

"We get about 16.000 flu shots in for the community and we have about 85,000 residents and so that’s kind of low percentage for people who get shots," said the Executive Director.

Free flu shots will also be available for Muskingum County residents on October 7th at three locations.

Muskingum County Fairgrounds: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Ohio University Zanesville/ Zane State @ Campus Center: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Dresden Fire Department: 1 – 5 p.m..
