Local Communities Awarded Housing Grants

The Ohio Department of Development is announcing millions of dollars in grant money is coming to our area from the Community Housing Improvement Program.

Zanesville will receive $500,000 and Coshocton will receive $522,000.

The counties of Licking, Muskingum and Morgan will each receive $500,000 in grant money.

The grants can be used to fund home repairs, rental rehabilitation, tenant-based rental assistance, down payment assistance, new construction, infrastructure improvements or installation, public service, and planning activities.

The state awarded a total of $35.7 million to communities across the state.
