A man authorities say used an assault rifle to shoot into a Zanesville home pleads not-guilty.
24-year-old Christopher Smith of Zanesville pled not guilty to charges of discharging a firearm into a habitation and tampering with evidence Wednesday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.
Authorities say on September 11, Smith shot into the home of Felippa Holbert at 2012 Ridge Avenue. Holbert says 19 bullet holes were discovered in his home, and one bullet grazed a child.
Judge Kelly Cottrill continued Smith’s bond at $100,000. He remains in the Muskingum County Jail. If convicted he could face up to 16 years in prison.
