A highly traveled street in downtown Zanesville is closed.
Crews are doing patch work on Marietta Street. It’s expected to re-open either late Wednesday night or Thursday morning.
The patch work was brought on by a sewer separation project the city has been working on for months along 8th Street. It was delayed for a short time after crews ran into unstable soil and needed to re-design the project to shallow the depth of the trench. Public Service Director, Mike Sims, says crews should be wrapping the project up by the end of the month.
