The Hocking Valley Community Hospital will soon have direct access to Google.

18th District US Congressman Zack Space says he’s been working with that company to construct a wireless broadband system at the medical facility. The system will be of low-cost to the hospital, and it will provide the service by using TV bandwidth that’s already installed as part of the facility’s cable system.

This is the second major announcement space has had in the past month concerning broadband access. On August 18th, he unveiled a new project that would bring broadband access to 500,000 homes in the Appalachian region and create more than 700 jobs.
