For 20 years, people across the country have been participating in a day dedicated to serving the community, and Saturday in Zanesville several groups lend a hand.

As a part of ‘Make a Difference Day,’ one group scrubbed graffiti off of playgrounds to give kids a clean place to play.

"We are AmeriCorps members and part of the service requirement is to do community service projects and this was one we thought the community could benefit from," says Tiffany Skanlan, an Ohio College Guide.

The AmeriCorps members cleaned three playgrounds throughout the day and handed out healthy snacks to any kids who showed up.
