The Zanesville Kiwanians will be working for peanuts this weekend.

The club is hosting it’s annual peanut sale. Packets of peanuts will be sold for 50 cents.

"We try to do a lot of things that will affect the lives of kids and families in the community," said President of the Kiwanis Club Bob Davidson.

Davidson says they typically raise about $10,000 to $12,000 and are hoping to make just as much this year. All of the proceeds will provide funding to support various programs the club takes on.

"With our special riders program working with the Carr center, we have that, we also have the christmas party we do each year for the kids at christmas and that is one of our largest events."

Volunteers will be out again on Saturday at Sam’s Club, Pick N’ Save, the Memorial Bridge, and at the intersecations of Maple & Bell and also Zane & Underwood.
