Take a cruise along the Historic National Road and support the animal shelter.

This Saturday, October 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the National Road East Fall Festival will host various fall activities along the roadway.

"Lots of businesses located along National Road 40 and lots of sales and fun activities for children. Pumpkin carving, pumpkin painting, and free caramel corn so lots of food, lots of activities, lots of fun involved," says Kelly Ashby, Vice President of the Zanesville Muskingum Chamber of Commerce.

And this year, all money raised during the annual event will benefit a worthy cause.

"This year we are giving our proceeds to the animal shelter so lots of those businesses that are open will have opportunities to see and showcase puppies and dogs and the opportunity to adopt as well," says Ashby.

For a complete list of businesses involved, you can contact the Muskingum County Convention and Visitors Bureau at 740-455-8282.
