One city in Perry County is experiencing a well-known German tradition.
Somerset held it’s annual Oktoberfest to celebrate the town’s pioneer past and german heritage.
The town was co-founded by Jacob Miller back in 1807. He and other german immigrant pioneers built an area log tavern that is one of the oldest in Ohio.
Those who attended were able to learn more about the rich history and experience live music and antiques. Plus, what Oktoberfest would be complete without German Food? There were plenty of staples, such as beer, saurkraut and brats.
