The community is also remembering a Zanesville Man who lost his life on the Y-Bridge last month.

Family and friends held a benefit Saturday afternoon to help raise money for Ryan McCuen’s funeral arrangements. The 28-year-old died after his car crashed and caught fire.

"It was a complete shock, we we’re not expecting to lose him like that, we were getting ready to celebrate his birthday five days later," said relative Ian Ford.

Ford says the day was devoted to celebrating Ryan’s life and remembering the good times.

"Always up spirited, funny, always playing video games and shoes, that’s all Ryan was about, was shoes," he said.

Donations can still be made to McCuen’s family at any of the Century National Bank Locations.
