Local football players are being treated to a steak dinner.

Honeybaked Ham paired up with the Winerack to host a dinner for the Zanesville Blue Devils football team as a congratulations for making it to the play offs.

"It’s just great that those guys do that and we really appreciate their support and it means a lot to the kids to have that opportunity to have that team meal together," said Coach Chad Grandstaff.

Grandstaff says throughout the season the team had weekly dinners at various restaurants in town, walking from the highschool to each location. He says it’s been a real bonding experience for the players.

As for tomorrow’s game against the Red Devils of Marion-Franklin, he says they’re ready to go.

"Hopefully we’ll do well, I know our guys are ready, they’re excited to go up there and take a shot at the number one team in the state, they’re confident, we’re confidant, so all we have to do is just go up there and play," he said.

The game will take place at Marion-Franklin at 7:30 p.m.
