Colony Square Mall Owner Emerges From Chapter 11

The company that owns the Colony Square Mall in Zanesville has emerged from Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. General Growth Properties Wednesday announced is has successfully completed the final steps of its financial restructuring and has emerged from Chapter 11. General Growth says the emergence marks the end of one of the largest and most complex bankruptcy cases in U.S. corporate history. The New General Growth will have ownership and management interests in more than 183 regional shopping malls in 43 states, including Colony Square Mall, as well as ownership interest in other rental properties.
