The Muskingum County Business Incubator is another step closer to moving into a new building.
Muskingum County Commissioners took bids for a project that puts a new roof on the old Maysville Junior High building.
"The incubator will be housed there. They’d like to be housed there now, but it’s going to be more towards Spring because they have to put heating and lighting and windows and all that," says Muskingum County Commissioner, John Bates.
The project is funded through a $1.2 million Energy Efficiency grant. The new building will provide more space for the Incubator which is currently located on the second story of a building in downtown Zanesville.
"Hoping that the Incubator promotes small business. That’s what it’s for. And get them taking off and turn it into big things for Muskingum County," says Bates.
The commissioners will take the bids under advisement and award the bid early next week.
