The time has finally arrived for Harry Potter fans nationwide.

Locals eagerly waited in line for the midnight premiere of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 1" at the Cinemark at the Colony Square Mall. While many were excited for the showing, others had mixed feelings about the series coming to an end.

"I’ve been reading the books since before they were really popular so it’s been really neat to see them come alive and now that it’s ending, it’s kind of sad," said Shara Postle.

Fans tried to find unique ways of keeping busy until the showing, by playing cards and casting spells.

"I think it’s just exciting to see what’s going to happen in it because everybody has been expecting it for a while," said Jennifer Gomez.

Reports indicate that the movie has already sold out more than 3,900 midnight screenings Thursday night and will possibly surpass the midnight sales of $30 million set in June by Twilight Saga Eclipse.
