A Conesville woman is hospitalized after a one-vehicle accident in Coshocton County.
Sergeant Eric Demattio of the Coshocton County sheriff’s office says that around 3-30 p.m. on Saturday, 17-year-old Shelby Babcock was driving southbound on township road 428 in Coshocton county when she lost control of her blue Volkswagen bug hitting the side embankment.
"You know, these gravel roads, you can do 25-30 mph and be easy to lose control cause it can be loose at times," says Demattio.
With colder weather inching closer and closer, road conditions will only get worse through the winter months. Demattio encourages drivers to be cautious.
"Slow down, watch your speed, wear your seat belt and just take your time getting there."
Babcock was transported to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital by Dresden EMS. Demattio could not confirm whether or not she was wearing her seat belt. Her condition is unknown at this time.
