One Critical Following 146 Accident

Three people are taken to the hospital Friday night  following a serious accident in Salt Creek Township.

It happened around 9:30 at the intersection of State Route 146 and Coon Ridge Road.

According to Sgt. David Bailey with the Cambridge Post of the State Highway Patrol, the accident occured when a Honda Accord traveling eastbound on 146 collided with a westbound van that was attempting to turn onto Coon Ridge Road.

Sgt. Dailey says three people from the van were transported to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, one with possibly life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Honda refused treatment at the scene.

The Patrol has the accident under investigation.
