Sunrise Shopping Center Scheduled for Sheriff’s Sale

A local shopping center is scheduled to go to Sheriff’s Sale next month.

According to the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, the Sunrise Shopping Center is listed to be sold at Sheriff’s Sale on December 16, 2010. The property is appraised at $1.6 million. Milestone Properties Inc., located out of Florida, is the current owner of the property, and refused to make a comment concerning the issue. Bank of America has the lien on the property.

Tenants at the shopping center were unaware of the current situation, however find it no surprise. They say this past Summer surveyors were appraising the property.

If the property does go to Sheriff’s Sale, and the bank would buy it, it should not affect any of the current tenants.

We are waiting on a call from an attorney who has a list of all businesses included in the for-sale property. Mick Amicone, owner of the Fieldhouse Family Fitness Center, says he privately owns the property where the Fieldhouse is located, so that portion of the Sunrise Center is not a part of the property for sale.
