The State Fire Marhsal’s Office says a weekend fire in Zanesville appears to be accidental. Spokesman Shane Cartmill says there’s no indication any criminal act took place.
The fire broke out around 1 p.m. Sunday at 4545 Church Hill Road. The structure was fully engulfed by the time crews got to the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but Cartmill could say that it appears to be electrical in nature. The lead investigator is meeting with an electrician at the facility later this week to go over the structure, which is considered a total loss.
The Muskingum Valley Red Cross is currently helping the five who lived there with food and clothing while they stay with family.
