They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but for this artist of the month, a picture is worth a pure passion.
Artist Connie Lambert loves photography. She started her photography career at Ohio State and hasn’t been able to put down the camera since. Colleague and artist Gary Graham says its not just the picture, its everything about the picture.
"The girl has a real photogenic eye. She’s mixed that with the artistic ability that she has so when you see her work, the movements, the shadowing, the old doorways, the old building, the animals that she’s put together, it’s just so unique," says Graham.
Graham says her photography stems from working at The Wilds.
"She’s among the animals on a daily basis. I think that the artistic ability that she has mixes with the animals who have artistic form," says Graham.
Lambert credits her high school art teachers, art and photography professors at Ohio State, ZAAP artists as well as members of the Y Bridge Photo Club, an organization she began within ZAAP.
