Animals not Forgotten this Holiday Season

One local middle school is making sure man’s best friend and other animals are not forgotten this holiday season.

Grover Cleveland middle school art students are making Christmas tree ornaments to help raise money for the Muskingum County animal shelter. 100 percent of the donations this holiday season will go right back to the shelter.

"This is a way for the Grover Cleveland kids to say thank you for supporting the community in their way too," says Grover Cleveland art teacher Wilma Lawn.

Lawn says all the art supplies were donated and the students are excited to not only do something fun, but to also contribute toward the good of many cats, dogs, and other animals up for adoption.

"Arts are so much a part of our community and our community supports the arts very well so i would like to have the kids participate in supporting their community," says Lawn.
