The Renner brought in the sounds of the season this afternoon.

The home of Zane Trace Players hosted a Christmas variety show featuring Chuck Spires, his family and friends.  The concert featured musicians from all over who all got their start right here in Zanesville.

"It is so wonderful to have a family reunion and all these buddies I grew up with and just at the drop of a hat they will drive in two feet of snow, twelve and half hours and they will take off work. You can imagine that it makes you feel great that you have those kind of friends," said Chuck Spires.

Director of Zane Trace Players Rich Tolliver says this vibrant crew performs a little bit of something for everyone.

"It’s exciting bcause I am seeing history and I’m seeing a genre of music that is maybe slipping by the wayside a little and parts of what we are doing, so its really good to see them up there performing and giving young kids a chance to experience it," said Tolliver.

All of the proceeds from the concert will help fund the theatre in all of its upcoming renovations.
