The Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving three vehicles.
The crash occurred on State Route 13 at Stone Quarry Road in Perry County at 8:25 a.m. on Tuesday.
Authorities report that 21-year-old Shawn Hall of New Lexington was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier south bound on State Route 13. He struck the rear of a 1995 Ford Taurus who was also south bound and was stopped to turn onto Stone Quarry Road. Hall’s vehicle then slid sideways into the oncoming lane and collided with a north bound 2004 Chrysler Sebring.
Hall was transported to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Sebring was also taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Taurus was not transported.
It is unknown at this time if alcohol was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
