One Muskingum County organization is continuing a long time holiday tradition.
The Fraternal Order of Police hosted its annual senior holiday dinner. Volunteers from the FOP donated their time to help serve a warm meal to more than 1200 senior citizens.
"When you see all the smiles, when you hand out the door prizes, when you get to greet the people, when you get thanked, when you get just the hugs, you know, everyone is just so warm and welcome. "
The Muskingum County Senior Center event is so big, it even has its own award.
"We’ve been recognized as the largest gathering of seniors in the state of Ohio as sit down dinner as an event like this. "
The Zanesville High Key Club as well as the John Glenn Choir along with other community groups helped with this year’s dinner.
