Salvation Army Christmas Baskets

The Salvation Army is asking for your help.

Every year, The Salvation Army provides Christmas baskets for families around the holidays.  And this year, they are welcoming your non-perishable food donations more than ever.

"Our greatest need, what we would like to do, is to make sure they have a Christmas dinner, so you know to be able to fill those baskets. We would like to be able to have enough food," said Salvation Army Christmas coordinator, Joyce Krouskoupf.

Krouskoupf says 2300 food baskets need to be filled this year. But according to The Salvation Army’s current count, they can only fill 300.

"A lot of people that have helped us so much, they are in need also and we never know when it could be us. We are just always one paycheck away from being there ourselves so we are thankful to be here, to help others, but we really need the community’s help to fulfill the baskets that other people need," said Krouskoupf.

If anyone would like to donate non-perishable food items or volunteer to help during the Christmas season, contact The Salvation Army at 740-452-8350.
