Police need your help finding a man who robbed a Zanesville gas station.

Detective Sergeant Ric Roush of the Zanesville Police Department says that around 3:35 this morning, a man robbed the Speedway gas station on Blue Avenue. He says the suspect verbally threatened the clerk demanding cash and left with an unknown amount. The suspect then fled and proceeded to drive on to westbound Interstate 70. Police believe the suspect was driving what appeared to be a white Oldsmobile.

"The suspect is described as a white male somewhere between 25 and 35 years of age, 5 foot 9, 150 pounds wearing dark clothing as well as a bandana," says Roush.

Roush says that it is not unusual to see an increased amount of robberies around the holidays and is asking anyone with information to please come forward.

"They can call the main number here at the police department which is 455-0700 or if they wish to they can always call the Zanesville TIPS hotline and that number is 455-0712," says Roush.

No one was injured in the robbery.
